Botnhamn's neighbourhood.

Botnhamn and the local area consist of many small places, villages and towns nearby. Click on the pictures to read and see more of the localities and neighbour villages. The local area includes the tiny villages Gavlen and Balsfjord. Other tiny places like Laukvik, Galnslått and Yttergården are more or less a part of Botnhamn itself. The closest neighbour villages are in order Husøy, Fjordgård, Lysnes, Vang, Gibostad, Senjahopen and Mefjordvær. Right across the strait of Malangen lies Sommarøy. The nearest town is Finnsnes, about 50 km to the south, while the nearest city is Tromsø some 100km north of Botnhamn.
