Lysnes and Vang - two small villages on Senja

Vang is an estate which is mentioned in historical writing already in the 1300's, but archaeological discoveries confirm settlement several hundred of years back in time.  During the 19th century there was a lot of trading activity at Vang. Lysnes is divided into several small places, more exactly Outer Lysnes, Middle Lysnes, Lysbotn and Inner Lysnes, all located by the fjord of Lysbotn.
